Correspondent
We are looking for a hard-driving correspondent who is hungry to take on riveting stories that will be revelatory for our audience. We’re particularly interested in candidates who have an investigative mindset and know how to produce the receipts (first-hand information, data or documents) to back up their work. You need to be willing to do quick-strike investigations and manage long-term projects including podcasts, documentaries and various digital formats. Your reporting should follow our mission of striving to “raise awareness, trigger debate and prompt positive change via non-partisan, independent investigative and documentary journalism” on a regional and national scale. We’re looking for someone who has experience with accountability journalism and can transform data-driven stories into a narrative form. The correspondent in this role will combine sound-rich audio journalism with long-form digital content.
Senior Reporter
We are looking for a senior reporter who is hungry to take on riveting stories that will be revelatory for our audience. The goal will be to deliver important reporting on multiple platforms that makes change for the good. You need to be willing to do quick-strike investigations and manage long-term projects, including podcasts, documentaries, and various digital formats for the APM Reports team. Your reporting should follow our mission of striving to “raise awareness, trigger debate and prompt positive change via non-partisan, independent investigative and documentary journalism” on a regional and national scale. We’re looking for someone who has experience with accountability journalism and can transform data-driven stories into a narrative form. The Sr. Reporter in this role will combine sound-rich audio journalism with long-form digital content.
Data Reporter
The job requires solid journalistic chops, a creative, collegial approach and a willingness to step back and thoughtfully assess the ways journalists use (or don't use) data and organized information in their stories, and how they might use it to better inform their storytelling.
Intern
As an investigative intern, you will help our award-winning team deliver compelling content that will inform our audiences across platforms through research and reporting. You will be working to uncover hidden facts through research, manage multiple open records requests and search for a diverse array of potential sources. Your hard-working spirit will help you juggle multiple tasks including deep dives into research, data analysis and audio field production. Your collaborative nature will enable you to work closely with our award-winning team and help you develop an investigative mindset. We pride ourselves on nurturing the next generation of investigative reporters and want to help develop your passion for investigative journalism. If you have an insatiable curiosity, persistence to keep digging, and drive to uncover the truth, this internship is for you.
