Senior Editor (Investigative Reporting Projects)
We are seeking a senior editor to help lead investigative reporting projects within our team and with our local media partners around the country. This position is part of our local media accountability initiative, a grant-funded effort to elevate investigative reporting at local media outlets in select cities. The senior editor leads investigative collaborations within our team and with external partners, helps with story selection, edits audio and digital stories, coordinates shared resources and helps navigate reporting challenges. We are dedicated to helping meet the urgent need for local investigative journalism. We’re looking for an editor who’s passionate about furthering that mission. The senior editor must be driven to hold the powerful to account, produce in-depth journalism in the public interest, and help elevate the work of local journalists. We are based in St. Paul, Minnesota, but we’ll consider remote candidates for this position.
Senior Editor (Audio)
The senior editor will work with a skilled team of journalists who have produced award-winning radio documentaries and narrative podcasts, including most recently Sent Away and Sold a Story. The senior editor must be a terrific audio storyteller who can help our team create must-listen podcasts that make an impact regionally and nationally. We’re looking for a supportive editor who will help reporters and producers do their best work. The senior editor will work across reporting teams and will often be editing multiple podcasts at once. This is an opportunity to help a team of great journalists create hit podcasts that make a difference. We are based in St. Paul, Minnesota, but we’ll consider remote candidates for this position.

The internship will help MPR/APM produce important accountability journalism that informs and empowers our community.
